The length of each rental begins when you receive the dress (determined through tracking or USPS delivery confirmation). The length of rental is 6 days for all dresses on our site. Should you need additional time, each additional day will be charged at a rate of $10 (ten) per day. Dresses must be postmarked on the last day of rental. To ensure delivery back to Ballroom Dress Rental it is advisable that you send the dress using a tracking service (UPS) or delivery confirmation through USPS and insure the dress for its full value, requiring a signature. If you are unsure of the value of the dress, it will be provided to you. All packages must be signed for due to the high value of insurance. If no one is available at your residence to sign for the package, you will need to pick it up at your post office within (2) days of the attempted delivery (a notice is left by USPS) unless you are provided additional time in writing. If the package is not picked up or refused, you will be charged the cost of shipping plus ($10) for each day until the dress is returned to BDR.

If for any reason the dress is not returned to Ballroom Dress Rental you will be charged the full retail value of the dress. You are responsible for the dress until it arrives back safely at Ballroom Dress Rental. If any dress remains unreturned after fifteen (15) days it will be considered lost and you will be charged the full retail value of the dress, including late fees. The credit card you provide at the time of rental will be used for any damages or unreturned dresses.

By renting a dress or trying on a dress through Ballroom Dress Rental you are agreeing to the terms and conditions of this rental agreement and its terms and conditions will are binding upon the client. All clients acknowledge that they are 18 years of age or older. All returns should be mailed to Ballroom Dress Rental, 24 Oakmont Circle, Glen Mills, PA 19342.


After choosing your dress, you will be required to pay for the rental if the rental is less than 60 days out. Otherwise, there will be a non-refundable deposit of 25% in order to reserve the dress.

Try-On Services

You may try-on any of our dresses prior to rental to ensure proper fit and satisfaction. You can choose one dress or several to try-on. You will be charged for shipping and handling only, there is no try-on fee. Try-ons must be postmarked no later than two days after it reaches your residence.  We ship using USPS priority insured mail requiring a signature.  All try ons and rentals should be sent back USPS in the same manner.  If you choose to utilize another delivery service, you must ship using a service option that gets the package back to BDR no later than 3 days after postmark.  You must place a deposit on each dress that is sent to you for try-on. Once returned the deposit will either be returned to you or applied towards the cost of your rental.

All dresses must be returned in their original condition, unworn and unused to avoid being charged the full rental fee. Dresses for Sale must be returned unused, unworn and in their original condition to avoid being charged the full price of the dress. All jewelry is interchangeable between dresses and not every item pictured will always be included with the dress for a rental or sale.

Late Fees

Failure to return your dress (along with any accessories) postmarked by the Return Date will result in a Late Fee of $10 per day for the first (5) days.  Failure to return dress(es) from a try-on on time will incur the same penalty.  If your failure to return results in a lost rental, you will be charged the lost rental fee.  This policy is in place to insure that when you rent a dress from us you are guaranteed to have that dress for your event.

Option to Purchase

Should you decide you would like to purchase your dress after rental, the Rental Fee will be deducted from the purchase price. Please contact us for additional information.

Failure to Return Fee

Beginning on the 6th day, the Failure to Return Fee will be equal to the full amount of the original Rental Fee and such amount shall be charged each day the dress is not returned, not to exceed the full retail value of the dress. The Failure to Return Fee will be charged to your credit card account.


Should you cancel your reservation with less than 21 days notice, you will be charged 50% of the Rental Fee. Any reservation canceled within 14 days of the Rental Start Date shall be charged the full Rental Fee. At any point of a cancellation, there will be a 10% restocking fee.

Alterations and Damages

All dresses must be returned to Ballroom Dress Rental in their original condition. Any alterations (which must be approved ahead of time) must be undone prior to return to Ballroom Dress Rental. Damages caused by alterations will be deducted from your deposit. All dresses must be returned in their original condition. Any damages incurred while the dress is in your possession, such as rips, tears, staining etc. will be charged to the credit card provided to Ballroom Dress Rental.

You are responsible to pay for all necessary repairs as well as any lost rental or other fees that are a result of such damage.

Use of Tanning Products

The use of any permanent staining tanning products is prohibited. As with any other stains, if dress(es) is returned with tanning stains, damages will be assessed up to the full retail value of the dress.

Dry Cleaning

Dry cleaning is included in the cost of the rental. No additional cleaning fees shall be charged unless the dress is returned with stain damage. Any dress which is damaged as a result of cleaning will be charged at its full retail value.


Ballroom Dress Rental does not make any representations or warranties as to the suitability or merchantability of any dress. Ballroom Dress Rental is not responsible for any wardrobe malfunction and shall not have any liability for damages incurred or arising out of the rental or use of any of our merchandise. All dresses are rented and accepted in their “as-is” condition.
